Indications and pharmacological action: Clicks multivitamin chewable is a balanced and effective formulation designed to provide essential vitamins for children. It is intended for use as a dietary supplement to a healthy eating lifestyle. Contra-indications: Clicks multivitamin chewable is contra-indicated in patients with an allergic hypersensitivity to any of these ingredients. It is not intended to treat patients where a specific vitamin deficiency exists. Interactions: Pyridoxine can reduce the effect of levodopa, but this effect will not occur if a dopa decarboxilase inhibitor is given in conjunction. Penicillamine may alter the metabolism of pyridoxine. Cholestyramine, liquid paraffin and neomycin may reduce the absorption of vitamin A in the GIT (gastro-intestinal tract). Absorption of vitamin A can also be impaired by cholestatic jaundice and related fat malabsorption conditions. Aminoglycosides, aminosalicylic acid, anticonvulsants, methyldopa, biguanides and chloramphenicol may reduce absorption of vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin). These interactions are not likely to be of any clinical significance, but should be regarded if assays for blood concentrations are performed. How to use

Usage instructions:
Dosage and directions for use: Age 2-3 years: chew 1 tablet a day. Age 4-12 years: chew 2 tablets a day. Always consume tablets after or with a meal. Use as recommended or as otherwise prescribed by a healthcare practitioner. For further information, see enclosed product information leaflet.

Keep in a cool, dry place below 25 degrees C. Protect from light.

Unless advised by a medical practitioner. The safe dosage may accidentally be exceeded if this product is combined with other medicines or health products also containing vitamin A. Excessive consumption of sorbitol may cause a laxative effect. Pregnancy and lactation: Not applicable since product is intended for children. Consult a medical practitioner before taking any supplementation during pregnancy or lactation. Side effects and special precautions: Components within these ingredients may be associated with gastro-intestinal effects like heartburn, anorexia, abdominal pain and cramps, diarrhea, vomiting, nausea and constipation. Allergic reactions have been reported with vitamin use in general, which includes rash and pruritus. Administration of high doses of vitamin A can cause hypervitaminosis A, characterized by fatigue, headache, vertigo, changes in skin and mucous membranes, yellow-orange discoloration of skin, decreased tolerance to sunlight, dry and brittle nails and hair, cracking and bleeding lips, low grade fever, tenderness and pains in joints and bones, hypercalcaemia, hyperglycaemia, intracranial hypertension, visual disturbances, increase in serum cholesterol and serum triglycerides concentrations, irritability and edema. Long-term use of vitamin A in high doses (20000IU) may cause hepatic injury and cirrhosis. Symptoms usually clear with withdrawal of vitamin A. Known symptoms of over dosage and particulars of its treatment: Treatment is supportive and symptomatic. In case of overdose, consult a medical practitioner or seek medical advice immediately. Discontinue use of product immediately. Always consult a healthcare practitioner before taking any supplementation, especially children on medication as well as breastfeeding women. Vitamin and mineral supplementation should not replace a balanced diet. Zinc - contra-indicated with penicillin. Vitamin A - photosensitivity, do not use during pregnancy, toxicity. Folic acid - masks deficiency of vitamin B12. Vitamin B12, Vitamin B12 - masks effects of anaemia, can develop hypersensitivity reactions. Contains no artificial flavourants, artificial colourants, preservatives, egg, gluten yeast, salt or caffeine. Contains elements of soy. Recommended for children 2 year and older.
