Why did we develop the Clicks Expert range?
We’ve noticed that an increasing number of customers want to avoid harsh ingredients and products that can cause any harm, whether it’s to animals, the environment or the skin.
The Clicks Expert Specialised Care range for sensitive skins was created to fill this need and provide a purer skincare product, especially for those who also suffer from topical irritation and allergic reactions.
All products in the Clicks Expert range are suitable for sensitive skins and have been Dermatologically approved. In addition to this, the entire range is cruelty-free, where even the individual ingredients’ origins are monitored to make sure they comply with cruelty-free standards.
What products are available in the Clicks Expert range?
The Expert Specialised Care range caters for all skin types and members of the family and includes body moisturisers, cleansing lotions, a bath milk and body washes, as well as four dedicated facial skincare ranges: dry, combination, oily and acne-prone skins, as well as a dedicated “Junior” line for babies and young children.
What makes the Clicks Expert products suitable for sensitive and allergy-prone skins?
The formulations are paraben, sulphate and fragrance-free, as these are by far the most common causes of irritation and allergic skin reactions.
What effects can parabens, fragrances and sulphates have on the skin?
Did you know that there are 26 ingredients commonly used in fragrances that are known allergens and have to be declared on the product? The Expert range is fragrance-free, so none of these allergens are included in the products.
Many common preservatives which are known to cause irritation - we have been careful to exclude not only parabens, but also all other harmful preservatives.
Sulphates help products lather and foam, but are harsh on skin and can cause irritation. We have replaced them with much gentler alternatives, which will cleanse effectively, but in a milder way.
How did the Clicks Expert Range has received the Allergy Foundation of South Africa seal of approval?
The Clicks Expert range has been formulated to minimise the risk of allergies and irritation on all skin types, and contains no parabens, sulphates, fragrances or harsh ingredients. All the products in the range are also pH neutral or mildly acid, making them a perfect match for the delicate skin mantle.
All products in the Clicks Expert range have been assessed by the Allergy Foundation of South Africa’s technical experts, approved by a qualified dermatologist and clinically tested by an accredited independent testing facility.
This means that you don’t just need to take our word for it when a product says that it will help hydrate your skin, relieve dryness and irritation, or help with oil control – all claims have been validated and assessed, ensuring that they will cause no harm to your skin.
How can the Clicks Expert range of products help allergy prone skin?
Both adult and kids’ skins can be sensitive and prone to extreme dryness and eczema although kids’ skins tend to be more sensitive and get irritated more easily.
This range is suitable for the symptoms associated with eczema and the products help to soothe and alleviate dryness before the skin condition becomes worse.
The formulations are mild and gentle and contain no harsh ingredients and they will work as emollients to nourish the skin and stop it from drying out.
