Whether you want volume, length or curl, the wand you choose is key. Here’s what you need to know.

For volume

You need a wand that will create 360-degree volume but won’t clump. Look for a densely packed, thick wand and create a zig-zag motion when applying it.

TRY: Revlon Ultra Volume or Bourjois Volume Glamour Mascara Ultra Black

For length

You need a long wand with super-short, sparse bristles that will allow you to get right up to the root. Comb the mascara wand evenly through the lashes.

TRY: Revlon Super Length

For curl

You need a fluffy, curved brush that will sweep your lashes into that desired curl. A fanned brush will coat each layer of your lashes, giving you the perfect curl!

TRY: Maybelline Lash Sensational or Rimmel Super Curler

For lower-lash definition

You need a brush that will apply just the right amount of colour without adding heavy volume. Opt for
a long, thin brush that will evenly coat and separate the small bottom lashes.

TRY: Max Factor Masterpiece Mascara

For a false-lash effect

You need a wand that will give you both volume and length. Choose a double-ended mascara with
a primer to thicken and add volume on one end, and a brush on the other to give you the length for a really wide-eyed look!

TRY: Revlon Volume + Length Magnifier or L’Oréal Paris False Lash Superstar
