Curasept ADS 220 200 ml Anti Discoloration System Mouthwash 200 ml

Detailed Description:
200 ml e.Intensive protection for irritated gums. The patented ADS system dramatically reduces the risk of discoloration and taste-disturbance by using chlorhexidine. No burning or irritant effect due to the absence of alcohol.Under license of Curasept ADS s.r.l.General oral health information of Curaden:Clean teeth - healthy gums - happy people.Lifelong tooth preservation - how?The best indicator for good oral hygiene is the absence of gum-bleeding. If your gums do not bleed after thorough brushing (including interdental brushing) then your oral hygiene is perfect. It is most important HOW you perform your daily oral hygiene ( and much less important how often or when you brush your teeth. So the logical answer to your question «How often should I brush my teeth?» is: as often as necessary to keep gum bleeding away.Important facts you should know:Plaque (oral bio film):Plaque is a heterogeneous build-up of microbes which form a soft, sticky deposit on teeth and prosthesis surfaces. Plaque causes gum bleeding (gingivitis), bad breath (halitosis) and tooth-decay (caries). These problems can be avoided or eliminated through appropriate and sufficient mechanical plaque control. Every healthy person carries billions of bacteria and microbes in its mouth and that is not a problem because we need that oral flora. The equilibrium within the oral flora can only get out of balance if bacteria can deposits undisturbed for 48 hours. With modern cleaning aids and professional instruction ( lifelong tooth preservation is possible for everybody. Only during restricted mechanical cleaning possibilities can chemical mouth washes offer an extra protection towards plaque deposits for a limited time.Mechanical plaque-control:Microbes within plaque live in close synergy. The ultimate goal for mechnical plaque control is to disturb that peaceful habitat system of plaque bacteria. Ones the structure of the system is shattered bacteria cannot survive. That explains why accurate tooth brushing is sufficient to maintain perfect oral health.Chemical plaque-control:In certain situations where mechanical plaque control is restricted or difficult to perform, chemical plaque-control is a helpful complement to mechanical cleaning. The «gold-standard» for chemical plaque-control is chlorhexidine. It disintegrates and inhibits bacterial biofilm (plaque) by adhering to the mucous membranes and teeth for 8-12 hours.Anti discoloration system® (ADS):The use of chlorhexidine (in mouthwashes, toothpastes and chewing-gum) usually leads to a brownish pigmentation / discoloration of teeth. The ADS system, present in Curasept products, strongly minimizes the risk of discoloration and eliminates the unpleasant taste-disturbance known from regular CHX-products.SLS (sodium lauryl sulphate):Sodium lauryl sulphate is the most frequently used tenside (foaming agent) in toothpastes and mouthwashes. Products containing SLS should never be used in combination with products containing chlorhexidine: SLS will inactivate the depot-effect of chlorhexidine.Irritated gums:Irritated gums are a result of prolonged contact of the gums with bacterial plaque. Most affected areas are interdental spaces, the gingival borderline and the mucous membranes under prosthesis.Gum bleeding:Gum bleeding is painless and manifests itself through bleeding during brushing, flossing or eating an apple. It normally disappears within a few days of careful mechanical cleaning (interdental cleaning, sulcular cleaning). Chronic gum bleeding can lead to problems at the supporting tissue of teeth (periodontitis, periodontosis).Periodontitis, periodontosis:Periodontitis not only causes bad breath but can be a serious threat to general health and contribute to heart disease, diabetes, strokes and premature birth. No self medication against periodontitis is possible. Continuing bad breath is a potential sign for periodontitis, which can only be treated successfully by a dental professional.Bad breath (halitosis):Bad breath comes from sulphuric gases which are produced by anaerobic bacteria in deep periodontal pockets and deep papillas on the tongue where there is no oxygen. If bad breath does not disappear after repeated and thorough cleaning of all critical areas it can be a sign of chronic inflammation (periodontosis) and should be treated by a dentist.Caries and fluorides:Caries results from acid-attacks of bacteria. Acid dissolves minerals (cacium). Fluorides can re-mineralise dental enamel. Fluorides contained in moutwashes or toothpastes offer a certain protection against caries - but not against gum-bleeding.Interdental spaces:Neither a toothbrush nor mouthwash can keep interdental spaces (particularly between molar teeth) plaque-free.Only ultra-fine and space-filling interdental brushes (Curaprox CPS prime) can reach and clean without damaging the papilla. Not only gum diseases but also caries starts mainly interdentally. Good oral health starts with good interdental care.Gingival margins:The bristles of almost every toothbrush on the market are too hard and stiff. Almost everyone is pressing too hard during brushing his or her teeth - believing that more pressure means better cleaning. In spite of hard pressure and daily oral care the plaque remaining in the gingival sulcus will lead to gingivitis. Furthermore, the gums get «brushed away» and even worse exposed necks of teeth get eroded.Remedy comes with the use of the ultra-gentle Curaprox CS 5460 toothbrush. The CS 5460 allows gentle but still effective brushing of teeth - especially in the gingival margins and fissures.Tongue:Anaerobic bacteria can produce sulphuric gases under the exclusion of oxygen in the deep papilla of the tongue dorsum. This problem can be controlled by using Curasept ADS mouthwash in combination with Curaprox CTC 203 tongue cleaners.Pressure marks from dentures (stomatitis):Dentures obstruct the natural stimulation of oral tissue and inhibit the afflux of blood to the gums. Microbes can proliferate in between prosthesis and the mucous membranes very successfully. Inflammation and pressure marks from dentures can be inhibited or elimited through efficient cleaning of prosthesis and mucous membranes (
