Before you begin, please read this instruction leaflet completely and carefully. Remember to do the skin allergy and hair strand test 48 hours before using the hair colour. Wait at least 2 weeks after relaxing before colouring hair. Perform a hair strand test to preview the outcome of your colour. Please note: This product will permanently stain clothes, carpets, furniture and certain bathroom tiles. Your Inecto permanent hair colour crime box contains: An easy to follow instruction leaflet. 1 x pair of gloves. 1 x mixing stick. 1 x 50ml tube of Inecto colour creme. 1 x 50ml tube of Inecto colour developer. 1 x 10ml sachet of aloe and protein enriched after colour conditioner. In addition you will need a plastic comb (do not use a metal comb). To do the skin allergy test and hair strand test you will need a small glass or plastic bowl, petroleum jelly to use as a protective barrier and a towel. Skin allergy test: Although it is rare, some people may at any time, show an allergic reaction to hair colourants. A skin allergy test must be carried out 48 hours before each and every application. Squeeze 1/2 inch (10mm) of Inecto permanent hair colour creme from the tube containing the hair colour into a small plastic or glass bowl and add a teaspoon of colour developer. Mix the contents thoroughly and recap the bottle and tube securely. Using a mild soap, thoroughly wash a small area of skin inside your elbow and pat dry. Smooth a little mixture on to the cleaned skin and allow the mixture to dry. If after 48 hours inflammation, irritation, swelling or a burning sensation occurs, then the hair colour should not be used. If you are pleased with the results of the skin allergy test, proceed with the directions below. Hair strand test: To preview the colour results: Snip a dry strand of hair from the back of your neck. Tape it together at one end. Put the gloves on, then dip the strand in the mixture used for the skin allergy test and leave it for 30 minutes. Rinse the strand and dry it before assessing the colour. Hair colour procedure: Inecto permanent hair colour creme performs best when hair is dry and oil free. Therefore, shampoo your hair thoroughly and towel dry. Mix the colour: 1. Put plastic gloves on and squeeze the entire contents of creme from the tube into a plastic or glass container. 2. Using the mixing stick, gradually add all the colour developer to the creme mixture and stir until a smooth creamy mixture is achieved. 3. Avoid getting the mixture on your fingers and hands. How to apply your hair colour creme: 4. Divide the hair into 4 sections and clip into place with plastic hair clips. 5. With gloves still on, start with the hairline at the back of your head and apply the hair colour upwards until your hair is completely covered. If you have grey hair, begin at areas where you have the most grey. Do not rub the colour creme into your scalp. 6. With gloves still on, spread the colour out to the ends of your hair making sure every strand is covered. Gently comb through to the ends of your hair (do not use a metal comb). If any mixture comes into contact with your skin, wipe off immediately with a damp cloth and if necessary use a drop of shampoo to help remove the stain. 7. Leave mixture on for 20 - 30 minutes. For resistant grey hair, leave on for an additional 5 minutes. 8. Add a small amount of warm water to your hair and gently massage colour mixture through the hair. 9. Rinse off with warm water until the water runs clear. Then shampoo and rinse. 10. Use the aloe and protein enriched after colour conditioner supplied in the pack, which has been specially developed for use after colouring. 11. Rinse off with warm water and dry hair and style as desired. Discard any left over colour mixture. Under no circumstances should any remaining mixture be kept for later use. Retouching hair: Follow the same procedure to colour your hair above.
