Please read this instruction leaflet completely and carefully before you begin. Remember to do the skin allergy test 48 hours before using the hair colour. Your Inecto permanent hair colour box contains: Easy to follow instruction leaflet. 2 gloves. 1 mixing stick. A tube of colour creme. A tube of colour developer. In addition you will need a plastic comb (do not use a metal comb). To do the skin allergy and hair strand test you will need a small glass or plastic bowl, petroleum jelly (to use as a protective barrier) and a towel. Skin allergy test: Although it is rare, some people may at any time, show an allergic reaction to hair colourants. It is therefore important that a skin allergy test is carried out 48 hours before each and every application. Squeeze 1/2 inch (10 mm) of Inecto colour creme from the tube containing the hair colour into a small plastic or glass bowl and add a teaspoon of colour developer, mix the contents thoroughly and recap the bottle and tube securely. Using mild soap thoroughly wash a small area of skin inside your elbow and pat dry. Smooth on a little mixture on the cleaned skin and allow to dry. If after 48 hours inflammation, irritation, swelling or burning sensation occurs, then the hair colour should not be used. If you are pleased with the results of the skin allergy test, proceed with the directions below. Hair strand test (optional): If you wish to preview the colour results: Snip a dry strand of hair from the back of your neck. Tape it together at one end. Put on the gloves and dip the strand in the mixture used for the skin allergy test and leave it for 30 minutes. Rinse the strand and dry it before assessing the colour. Hair colour procedure: Inecto colour creme performs best when hair is oil free., shampoo your hair thoroughly and towel dry. Mix the colour: Put plastic gloves on and squeeze the entire contents of creme from the tube into a plastic or glass container. 1. Using the mixing stick, gradually stir in all the developer from the bottle until a smooth creamy mixture is achieved. 2. Avoid getting the mixture on your fingers and hands. Application directions: 3. Divide the hair into 4 sections and clip into place with plastic hair clips. 4. With gloves on, apply the hair colour starting at the hairline on the back of your neck. Continue applying upwards until all your hair is completely covered. Do not rub into scalp. If you have grey hair, begin at areas where you have the most grey. 5. With the gloves still on, spread the colour out to the ends of your hair making sure every strand is covered. Gently comb through to the ends of your hair (do not use metal comb). If any mixture comes into contact with your skin wipe off immediately with a damp cloth and if necessary use a drop of shampoo to help remove the stain. 6. Leave mixture on for 20 - 30 minutes. For resistant grey hair, leave on an additional 5 minutes. 7. Add a small amount of warm water to your hair and gently massage colour mixture through the hair. 8. Rinse off with warm water until the water runs clear, shampoo and condition hair. 9. Dry hair and style as desired. Discard any left over colour mixture. In no circumstances should any remaining mixture be kept for later use. Retouching hair: The same procedure is adopted as above. Do read instruction carefully. Do a skin allergy test 48 hours before application. Do wait at lease 2 weeks after relaxing before applying colour. Do shampoo hair before applying colour. Do use a protective barrier around the hair line to protect skin from staining. Do use plastic gloves to protect your hands and nails. Do use hair colour immediately. Do use hair colour in a well-ventilated area. Do keep the product out of reach of children.
