Please read these instructions before use. Before first use: Lift out the transparent lid (2). Holding the main body (4), twist the coffee holder (5) towards the unlock symbol on the body to release it. Wash both the transparent lid and the coffee holder in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Using a dry cloth, wipe the inside of the coffee holder (5). Warning: take care around the blade assembly (7). It is not particularly sharp but could cause injury if you are not careful. The body of the grinder can be wiped with a moist cloth and then dried. Re-assemble the unit, locating the coffee holder on the main body, then twisting it towards the lock symbol to secure it in position. If you are going to use the grinder immediately, leave the transparent lid off until you have loaded the beans. Your coffee bean grinder is now ready for use. Operating instructions. If necessary, remove the transparent lid. Fill the holder with your chosen coffee beans. Do not overfill. Replace the transparent lid, making sure it is properly located. Place the grinder on a flat, level surface. Plug the appliance into a wall socket and switch the socket on. Steady the appliance with one hand and then press and hold down the on/off switch (1) for approximately 15 seconds. Release the switch, wait around 5 seconds and then repeat this cycle a further three times. By now, this should have completely ground the beans. As a general guide, the chart at top right indicates the approximate quantities and times required to process your coffee beans, if you are not grinding the maximum amount: Bean quantity (g) - total grinding time (s). 10 - 15. 20 - 25. 30 - 30. 40 - 35. 50 - 40. 60 - 50. Do not operate the grinder for too long, as this can cause it to become too hot which, as well as not being good for the reliability of your grinder in the long term, can also detract from the flavour of your coffee. You can observe the progress of the grinding process through the viewing window (3). As the beans are ground, they pass through the filter (6) and then into the coffee holder. During grinding, the small and oily grains of coffee tend to stick to the walls of the holder. You can tap the lid to help them fall through into the coffee receptacle. When you have finished using the grinder, switch off at the wall socket and unplug. You can now remove the coffee receptacle and your delicious, freshly ground beans are ready for use. Note: you can also use your coffee bean grinder to grind spices such as peppercorns, etc. however, do bear in mind that you need to be diligent with cleaning afterwards or you may have strangely flavoured coffee! Care and cleaning: Ensure that the coffee bean grinder is turned off, and unplugged from the wall socket. Lift out the transparent lid. Holding the main body, twist the coffee receptacle towards the unlock symbol to release it. Wash both the transparent lid and the coffee receptacle in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Using a suitable brush, clean out the inside of the holder (7). Re-assemble the unit, locating the coffee holder on the main body and then twisting it towards the lock symbol to secure it in position. Re-assembly is a reversal of the above procedure. The body of the grinder can be wiped with a moist cloth and then dried. Warning: do not use any scouring pads, abrasive or chemical cleaners, as these may cause permanent damage to the cosmetic surfaces. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or when it is working abnormally. If the cord is damaged, return it to the nearest clicks store for assessment. The appliance has no user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to repair, disassemble or modify it. Troubleshooting: Problem - possible reason - solution. Unit does not operate - unit is not plugged in - Plug into the main power outlet. Unit does not operate - The bean holder has been over-filled - remove some coffee beans and try again. Coffeee flavour is poor - The grinder was not properly cleaned - Thoroughly clean the grinder as described in the section on cleaning.
The transparent lid is not easy to lift. And the filter get's clogged too easily. And can't be washed. Brushed? Why didn't you supply the cleaning brush?
This is just an "upside-down" blade mulcher, it would not do any good coffee beans justice. Reconsider with a little more spending a true ,cheaper; hand burr grinder or expensive electric burr grinder. Blades are a sure way to put you off from drinking valued coffee forever.
