Usage instructions:
Did you know? You should change your tampon every 4 to 8 hours.Depending on how heavy your flow is and what absorbency tampon you are using, your tampon should, on average, be changed every 4 hours and should never be left in for longer than 8 hours.Life carries on as normal when you have your period. Thanks to Lil-Lets tampons and their superior protection you can live your normal day to day life; partake in any physical exercise (including swimming) and wear any clothing you want - all with great confidence.A tampon will never get lost inside you.Your tampon is held in place by the walls of your vagina until you pull the cord to remove it. A tampon cannot get lost inside you - the entrance to your womb is only the size of a pencil point; much too small for a tampon to fit through. You can wear a tampon to bed at night:Because you can wear a tampon for up to 8 hours, it is perfectly safe to leave it in while you are sleeping. Just be sure to put a new tampon in before you go to bed, and remove it first thing in the morning.Tampons will not make you lose your virginity. You can only lose your virginity by having sexual intercourse. You do not have to remove your tampon when you urinate. You may want to hold or tuck the cord to the side so it doesn't get in the way.Tampon do's and do not's:Do:Use the correct (lowest) tampon absorbency for your flow.Change your tampon every 4 to 8 hours.Seek medical assistance if you have trouble removing a tampon.Unwrap a fresh, clean tampon just before use - do not handle it more than necessary or place it on any surface.Ask a doctor if it is okay to use tampons if you have recently given birth, had a caesarean section, a miscarriage, an abortion or any operation on the reproductive system.Do not:Use a tampon if you do not have a period.Use more than one tampon at a time.Forget to remove your last tampon at the end of your period.Insert a tampon if it hurts to do so.TSS symptom checklist:Symptoms can develop very quickly and may seem like flu to begin with:Sudden high fever, usually over 39 degrees C (102 degrees F).Vomiting.Diarrhoea.A sunburn-like rash.Sore throat.Dizziness or fainting.Remember that not all these symptoms may be present at the same time. What to do:In the unlikely event that you have any of these symptoms during your period, remove your tampon and seek medical attention immediately. Make sure you let the doctor/nurse treating you, know that you have been menstruating and have been using a tampon. If you have had these symptoms, or have previously been diagnosed with TSS, consult your doctor before using tampons. The risk of TSS can be reduced by using the lowest absorbency for your flow, changing your tampon every 4 to 8 hours, or by using a pad or panty liner from time to time during your period. By using tampons correctly, and following the advice in this leaflet, you can reduce the risk of developing TSS.1. Unwrap compact applicator tampon from packaging.2. Gently pull the inner tube until it comes to a stop at the bottom of the outer tube.3. Continue with insertion (see leaflet inside for further details). This product is best before 3 years from date of manufacture.Using Lil-Lets and nano tampons:Lil-Lets tampons are small, discreet and very easy to use. They have a silky, soft cover to make insertion easy, with 8 grooves for better absorption. If you are using a tampon for the first time, the following instructions will put your mind at ease about the correct way to insert a tampon.1. Wash your hands thoroughly before unwrapping the tampon. Relax and get yourself into a comfortable position. Try sitting on the toilet seat with your knees apart, or standing in a squatting position.2. Using both hands, unwrap the tampon by twisting in the direction of the arrows. Hold the rounded tip in one hand and remove the protective cellophane from the cord end.3. Gently pull on the cord, releasing it from the tampon base. Make sure the ends are knotted together and pull on it gently to ensure it is secure. In the unlikely event that it is not secure, discard and use another tampon.4. Position your index finger on the cord end of the tampon and remove the upper part of the cellophane. With your free hand gently open the folds of skin around the vagina and position the rounded tip of the tampon at the vaginal opening.5. Push the tampon upward into the vagina and backwards towards the small of your back.6. The tampon is now in place and the cord should be hanging outside your body. If you can feel the tampon, use your index finger to gently push it in further. It is important to note that when correctly positioned you will not be able to feel the tampon.7. Wash your hands and throw the wrapper into the rubbish bin.8. To remove your tampon, relax and gently pull on the cord. If the tampon feels tightly held in place, leave it in for a while longer. If the tampon continues to feel tightly held in place, be sure to use a lower absorbency tampon the next time. The used tampon should be wrapped securely in tissue paper and can be disposed of with normal household waste.Using Lil-Lets applicator tampons:Lil-Lets applicator tampons are the same as Lil-Lets tampons only they come with a cardboard tube to help you insert the tampon without directly using your fingers. The cardboard applicator has a rounded tip for easy insertion. If you are using an applicator tampon for the first time, unwrap the applicator to examine how it works, you will notice how easily the tampon is released.1. Wash your hands thoroughly. Relax and get yourself into a comfortable position.2. Unwrap the applicator tampon from the packaging. Gently push on the bottom of the cardboard tube to ease just the tip of the tampon out of the casing. 3. With one hand, place your fingers on the grooves around the middle of the applicator tampon. With your free hand gently open the folds of skin around the vagina and position the rounded tip of the applicator tampon at the opening of your vagina.4. Pointing the applicator towards your lower back, gently side the applicator tampon into your vagina until your fingers touch your body.5. While still holding the grooves of the outer tube, use your free hand or index finger to gently push in the inner tube, until the inner tube is completely inside the outer tube.6. The tampon is now in place. Withdraw both tubes, leaving the cord hanging outside your body. If you can feel the tampon, use your index finger to gently push it in further. It is important to note that when correctly positioned you will not be able to feel the tampon.7. Wash your hands and throw the wrapper and tube into the rubbish bin.8. To remove your tampon, relax and gently pull on the cord. If the tampon feels tightly held in place, leave it in for longer. If the tampon continues to feel tightly held in place, be sure to use a lower absorbency tampon the next time. The used tampon should be wrapped securely in tissue paper and can be disposed of with normal household waste.Using Lil-Lets compact applicator tampons:Lil-lets compact applicator tampons are the same as Lil-lets tampons only they come with a plastic tube to help you insert the tampon without directly using your fingers.
