Pharmacological action: The antioxidant effects of L-cysteine may explain its apparent ability to prevent adverse effects caused by toxic chemicals. Alpha-lipoic acid may regenerate endogenous antioxidants and prevent oxidative damage. Choline may improve liver function. The B group vitamins may assist with carbohydrate and amino acid metabolism and oxidation-reduction reactions. Vitamin E is an anti-oxidant. Indication: This product is indicated as a general supplement where a deficiency of any of the ingredients exists. It may assist with the detoxification of the body. Identification: Orange size 00 capsule containing yellow/brown powder. Presentation: Carton containing 10 capsules per blister strip. Directions for use: Take one capsule with a glass of water, 30 minutes before you intend to start drinking and eating. Take 2 capsules with a glass of water the morning after. Take 2 capsules with a glass of water the morning after. How to take Liver Plus: Do not share medicines with any other person. Always take Liver Plus exactly as indicated or as your doctor has instructed you. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure. The usual dose for adults over 12 years is: one capsule with a glass of water, 30 minutes before you intend to start drinking and eating. Take 2 capsules with a glass of water the morning after. Do not take more than the recommended dose. If you take more Liver Plus than you should. In the event of over dosage, consult your doctor or pharmacist. If neither is available, seek help at the nearest hospital or Poison Control Centre. If you forget to take / missed a dose of Liver Plus: Take your missed when you remember. Do not take a double dose to make up for forgotten individual doses. Effects when treatment with Liver Plus is stopped: If on the dose indicated then there should be no adverse effects when stopping use of this medication.
Keep in dry place. Store below 25 degrees C. Storage and disposing of Liver Plus: Store at or below 25 degrees C. Protect from light. Keep in original packaging until required for use. Do not store in a bathroom. Do not use after the expiry date stated on the label. Return all unused medicine to your pharmacist. Do not dispose of unused medicine in drains or sewerage systems (e.g. toilets).

If any of the following happens stop taking Liver Plus and tell your doctor immediately or go to the casualty department at your nearest hospital spontaneous bleeding. Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, lack of muscle tone, and weakness. Increase in blood glucose levels in diabetic patients.
