Suggested daily intake is 1-2 tablespoons per day for adults and 1-2 teaspoons for children. They can be added to any meal or snack. Try adding to cereal, porridge, fruit, yoghurt, salads, smoothies, casseroles, stir-fries and more. Due to their high fibre content it's important to drink adequate amounts of fluid when consuming flaxseeds. Note: use as an egg replacer. Due to the mucilage that the flaxseed naturally produces it is also great as an egg replacer: to replace 1 egg add 1 tablespoon to 3 tablespoons of water and stand for 2-3 minutes.
