Nuk Orthodontic Soother 2
Teats and soothers designed by Dr. Med. Dent. Muller and Prof. Dr. Dr. Balters, who used their expert knowledge of orthodontics to simulate breast-feeding as closely as possible. Breast-feeding or feeding with the original Nuk® teat helps to preserve sufficient space for erupting teeth by strengthening and enlarging the jaw area. This is why most orthodontists use Nuk® for their own children. How the Nuk® soother works: 1. The mouth protector is pressed tightly against the mouth to get the teat in the correct position. 2. The two air holes are an additional safety feature ensuring your child will get enough air in every position. 3. The flat lip support will prevent harmful swallowing of air during sucking. 4. The high arch helps the development of a perfect palate. 5. The teat strengthens the tongue and jaw, helping them to widen and create space for the development of strong, healthy teeth. 6. The bottom part is bent back slightly which means that your baby's lower jaw has to be thrust forward in a milking motion, strengthening it just as at the mother's breast. This also helps to drain the saliva. The Nuk® size concept: Size 1 - size 2 - size 3. Latex - 0-6 Mon - 6-18 Mon -18-36 mon. Silicone - 0-6 Mon - 6-18 Mon - 18-36 mon. This system offers the right size soother for each age. Something that is essential for healthy oral development. The different soother sizes should always be subject to each baby's individual development. The Nuk® air system releases air, allowing the baglet to remain soft and keep its shape. The Nuk® soother conforms to the requirements of the EN 1400. Clean and sterilise soothers thoroughly before first use and after each further use. Press out any residual liquid when the soother has cooled down. Sterilise by using the Nuk® electric steam steriliser to ensure the soother remains hygienic. Avoid damage to soothers by ensuring that sufficient water is used when sterilising with boiling water (boiling for 5 minutes is sufficient). Do not clean soothers in a dishwasher as detergents may damage them. Soothers are made of different materials which can be damaged when sterilise in microwaves. Different materials retain different specific heat capacities.
