Usage instructions:
How to mix: Wear the protective gloves provided in the kit throughout the relaxing process as well as when rinsing and shampooing after relaxing. For your comfort, use a protective base (vaseline) on scalp, hairline, ears and nope of the neck. Full head application on virgin hair. Mixing full contents: 1. Open both cream activator 2 sachets and squeeze entire content into relaxer cream 1 jar. 2. Mix well with wooden spatula until colour is uniform with no streaks. This uniform colour indicates that the relaxer cream is properly mixed and relaxer mixture is ready to use. Retouching regrowth: Mixing half contents: 1. Remove half of the amount of relaxer cream 1 and set aside in a separate non-metal mixing container. 2. Open one cream activator 2 sachet and empty contents into the mixing container you have set aside. 3. Mix well with wooden spatula until colour is uniform with no streaks. This uniform colour indicates the relaxer cream is properly mixed and is ready to use. Keep the unmixed half of the relaxer cream 1 and the remaining cream activator sachet 2 for next retouch in a safe place. Strand test: Always do a strand test before relaxing, even if you have relaxed before. 1. Wear the gloves and keep them on throughout the relaxing process. Take a small section of hair close to the neck. Apply relaxer mixture evenly on unrelaxed portion of test section (if hair has been previously relaxed, apply to new growth only) without touching the scalp. Set timer for your hair texture (see "time chart"). Do not rub relaxer into the scalp. 2. Check texture and straightness of your hair regularly while waiting. If they are satisfactory before recommended processing time is up, end the test. Record time in "time chart" and use as your processing time. Otherwise, use the time recommended in "time chart." Never exceed the maximum processing time indicated in the "time chart". 3. When time is over, rinse relaxer mixture from the test section with warm water and wash with after-relaxing shampoo 3. Rinse. Allow test section of the hair to dry. Check for irritation or hair breakage. In case of irritation, immediately rinse and wash area with after-relaxing shampoo. If breakage or irritation occur, do not use this product or any other relaxer. 4. Do not wash entire head after strand test. If strand is not sufficiently relaxed, increase your treatment time from the strand test results, but do not exceed the time range for your hair type. Time chart: Processing time includes application and smoothing time. Hair type - regular relaxer strength - super relaxer strength. Fine - 10 - 15 minutes - do not use. Normal - 18 - 20 minutes - 15 - 18 minutes. Coarse - 20 - 25 minutes - 18 - 20 minutes. Resistant hard to straighten - use super strength - 20 - 25 minutes. Do not exceed processing time indicated on time chard for your hair type. Note: colour treated hair requires less time than non colour-treated hair to relax. Refer to strand test results. How to apply: Before you use, see "how to mix" section for mixing instructions. Do strand test first. Part hair into four sections: down the middle from front to back, then from ear to ear. For your comfort, we recommend you apply a protective base (vaseline) on scalp, hairline, ears and nape of the neck. Step 1: Apply the relaxer mixture: With gloves on, apply the relaxer mixture on dry hair, without touching the scalp. If hair has been previously relaxed, apply only on new growth. Use a clock or a timer. The application time must be included in the total processing time. Make narrow partings of 1cm. Apply the relaxer mixture generously, working from the 2 crown sections, to the 2 hairline sections. Apply on hairline at the end. Full head application on virgin hair: Apply the relaxer mixture section by section on the entire length of the hair, from roots to tips. Retouching growth: Apply the relaxer mixture on new growth only, section by section, starting at the roots. Avoid overlapping relaxer onto previously relaxed hair. Application of product to previously relaxed hair can cause breakage. Throw away any unused relaxer mixture. Step 2: Smooth: Use the back of a wide-toothed comb to smooth and spread relaxer mixture through unrelaxed hair or regrowth. Continue to smooth relaxer mixture through hair paying close attention not to exceed the maximum recommended processing time for your hair type. Step 3: Rinse: With gloves on, rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water until relaxer mixture is removed. The rinsing water must not come into contact with eyes. In case of contact with eyes, rinse them immediately. Step 4: Shampoo: With gloves on, wash with after-relaxing shampoo 3 provided and rinse well. You must shampoo and rinse thoroughly at least twice to eliminate all traces of relaxer mixture. Make sure there is no cream left on scalp, hairline and hair. Pink lather indicators relaxer mixture residue is still in the hair which if not removed may result in damage from overprocessing. Repeat this process as long as the lather is pink. Note: if using only half-contents of relaxer cream 1, save half of after-relaxing shampoo 3 in bottle for next retouch application. Step 5: Condition: Apply moisture plus restorative balm. Massage into hair and apply from roots to ends, making sure that hair is well covered. Leave on for 3-5 minutes rinse well.

Warnings:
Contains alkali, calcium hydroxide and guanidine carbonate (toxic - harmful if swallowed). Caution: this product contains ingredient(s) that will cause irritancy reaction when it comes into contact with the skin and/or eyes. Avoid contact with eyes, can cause blindness. If the product comes into contact with the eyes, rinse immediately with water and contact a medical practitioner if irritation persists, do not rub eyes. Do not use if there has been reaction to a similar product. Carefully follow the instruction sheet provided. Do not shampoo the hair 24 hours before using the relaxer, unless otherwise specified. To avoid skin and scalp irritation, hair loss, hair breakage, and/or eye/ear injury do not apply directly to scalp or hairline. Apply relaxer only to hair that has not been relaxed, if hair has been previously relaxed, apply only to new growth. Do not use this product if scalp is irritated or on bleached, frosted, color lifted, damaged, or curly permed hair (ammonium thioglycolate), do not use on hair that has been treated with "natural relaxers" containing metallic salts, ammonium bisulfite or bisulfate. Wait two weeks between relaxing hair and using permanent/demi-permanent color. Rinse the scalp and hair thoroughly with water as soon as the relaxing process is complete or if irritation or discomfort occurs; and shampoo with ORS™ Olive Oil Girls™ color cue neutralizing shampoo. If irritation persists, or if hair loss occurs, consult a medical practitioner. Serious injury may result if the relaxer is ingested. For external use only, if ingested or internal contact occurs consult a medical practitioner immediately. Do not induce vomiting. Relaxer product chemically restructures curly hair and should not be used as a conditioning treatment. Keep out of reach of children. This kit is not intended for use on persons under the age of 10.
