How to use

Usage instructions:
Instructions for use: Before starting the cut. Inspect the clipper making sure that it is free from hair and dirt. Before cutting, always comb the hair so it is tangle free and dry. To attach a comb: Hold the comb with its teeth upward. Slide it onto and along the clipper blade until the front of the comb firmly sits against the clipper blade. Gently push the back of the comb down so it snaps into place. To remove the comb: Holding the clipper with the blades facing away from you, firmly push the comb upward and away from the blades. Guide combs - hair length: 1 (Grade 1) - 3mm. 2 (Grade 2) - 6mm. 3 (Grade 3) - 9mm. 4 (Grade 4) - 12mm. 6 (Grade 6) - 18mm. Each comb attachment is marked accordingly on its outside middle surface (3mm, 6mm, 9mm, 12mm, 18mm). Use the clipper without any fixed combs for trimming hair close to the skin. This will trim hair to 1mm, holding the clipper so the blades are perpendicular to the skin will trim hair to 0.5mm. This is with the taper setting set at the closest gap between the blades. Instructing for cutting hair: For even cutting, allow the comb attachment/blade to cut its way through the hair. Do not force it through quickly. If you are cutting for the first time, start with the maximum comb attachment. Step 1 - nape of the neck: Use 3mm or 6mm guide comb. Hold the clipper with the blade teeth pointing upwards. Begin starting at the centre of the head at the base of the neck. Slowly lift the clipper, working upwards and outwards through the hair, trimming just a little at a time. Step 2 - back of the head: With the 12mm comb attached, cut the hair at the back of the head. Step 3 - side of the head: With the 3mm or 6mm guide comb attached, trim sideburns. Then change to the longer 12mm or 18mm guide comb and continue to cut up to the top of the head. Step 4 - top of the head: With the 12mm or 18mm guide comb attached, cut hair on top of the head against the direction in which the hair normally grows. For longer hair on top, use without a guide comb. Lift the hair on top of the head with a small hand comb. Cut over the hand comb with the hair lifted or hold the hair between the fingers to lift it and cut it to the desired length. Always work from the back of the head. Step 5 - the finishing touches: Use the clipper without an attachment comb for close trimming around the base and sides of the neck. To produce a clean straight line at the sideburns, reverse the hair clipper. Place the reversed clipper at right angles to the head, tips of the blades lightly touching the skin and then work downwards. Taper lever: The taper lever adjusts the length of cut when not using comb attachments. It is suggested to set the blades closest together when using the comb attachments. Half grade sizes can be achieved by using the taper lever with comb attachments. Care for your hairclipper: After each use: To ensure long lasting performance of your clipper, clean the blades and unit regularly. Ensure the appliance is switched off and unplugged from the mains before cleaning. Brush the accumulated hair from the blades and body of the clipper. Do not submerge the clipper in water. We recommend oiling the blades after cleaning with a little sewing machine oil. Note: Ensure the clipper is turned off when cleaning. Every six months: At regular intervals the blade set should be removed and cleaned. The blade set can be removed and reinstalled by using a screwdriver. Brush out hair and do not use water or cleaners on the blade set or internal body housing.
