For household use only. Please read this instruction manual before using your Safeway product and keep it in a safe place for future reference. If you pass the appliance on to anyone else, please include this manual. We also recommend you keep the packaging until you are satisfied that this product is operating correctly. Operation: Pre-heat the underblanket for 30 minutes before getting into bed. Insert the underblanket's plug into the power supply and set the control switch to "3". For all-night use and better comfort, set the switch to "1" to prevent yourself from becoming too hot and to avoid the risk of heatstroke. Do not cover the control panel with blankets, pillows or duvets, or place any pressure on it. The control panel must be exposed. Switch the electric underblanket off after you get up, and unplug from the power supply. Care and cleaning: Power cord and switch: Clean with a neutral detergent when dirty. Wipe dry with a soft cloth. Do not clean the electric underblanket with industrial solvents like benzene or kerosene. Underblanket: Store the electric underblanket only if it is dry. Hang in a ventilated area to dry naturally. Do not connect the electric underblanket to the power supply to dry. Do not dry in the sun or iron the underblanket. This will cause a safety hazard because of ageing of the insulating layer. The electric underblanket should be stored folded without creasing. Do not store with heavier bed linen on top of the blanket, as this will cause undue pressure on the electric underblanket. Do not place any mothproofing agents, like naphthalene, with the electric underblanket, as this will damage the insulation.

Never use the underblanket for handicapped or helpless persons, infants or those insensitive to heat. The electric underblanket is not intended for medical use in hospitals. Do not use the electric underblanket on an adjustable bed, unless it can be placed in such a way that the cord cannot be trapped or the electric underblanket creased or folded. The electric underblanket should not be used by young children unless controls have been pre-set, or the child has been adequately instructed as to how to operate the controls safely. Do not wash or dry clean the electric underblanket. Do not use the electric underblanket with another heating appliance or hot water bottle. Examine the electric underblanket frequently for any signs of wear and damage. Do not try to repair a fuse or thermal link on the electric underblanket. If still under the guarantee, please return the electric underblanket, along with your purchase slip and packaging to your nearest Clicks store. If the electric underblanket's supply cord is damaged, discontinue use. Avoid creasing the electric underblanket. Placement of the electric underblanket: The electric underblanket should be laid out flat on a firm, non-adjustable mattress and positioned shoulder-to-foot. The electric underblanket should be laid out with the fleece side up. The control panel should be placed near the shoulder for easier access. The surrounding elasticated fabric should be tucked under the mattress to secure the underblanket in place, and thus prevent the underblanket from shifting or creasing. Creasing causes the temperature to increase which may be dangerous. Always use the electric underblanket with a sheet covering it. This will give your underblanket better longevity, keeping it flat and cleaner for longer. Do not cover the electric underblanket with a blanket, as doing so will prevent the electric underblanket from transmitting heat.
