If breast feeding is not adopted, Similac total comfort 2 is a nutritionally complete follow-on formula. Every baby is unique, so your baby may need the special care and comfort that Similac total comfort 2 can provide. This easily digested formula may be recommended by your doctor for fussiness, gas, or diarrhoea due to lactose sensitivity. Similac total comfort 2 contains the tummy care system, specially formulated to be gentle on tiny tummies. Easily digested Similac total comfort 2 is made with the tummy care system, including gentle protein and minimal lactose. It also contains an easy-to-digest vegetable fat blend with no palm olein oil. A good choice if your child has difficulty tolerating other milk-based formulas. Also contains AA, DHA, omega 3 & 6, taurine, choline, lutein, and iron. Contains a combination of immunify ingredients, including nucleotides and prebiotics. Directions for preparation and use: Use as directed by your physician. Similac total comfort 2 should be diluted with water and used as a beverage to complement the solid food diet. Proper hygiene, handling and storage are important when preparing formula. Failure to follow these instructions could result in severe harm. Powder formulas are not sterile and should not be fed to infants who might have immune problems unless directed and supervised by your baby's doctor. Use water that has previously been heated at a full rolling boil for 5 minutes. Allow the water to cool and follow mixing instructions carefully. Use only the plastic scoop enclosed in this tin to measure Similac Total Comfort 2 powder. Mix well and feed immediately, or store prepared formula in the refrigerator at 2 degrees - 4 degrees C for no longer than 24 hours. Discard any formula left in the bottle within one hour after the feeding begins. Preparing a single feeding: 1. Thoroughly wash feeding bottle, nipple, cap and all utensils to be used in preparing the feeding. 2. After rinsing soap from the utensils, boil them for five minutes. 3. In a separate pan, heat water to a rolling boil for 5 minutes and allow to cool to lukewarm. 4. Provide a clean surface on which to prepare the feeding. Pour correct amount of lukewarm previously boiled water into feeding container (cup or bottle). 5. Fill enclosed scoop with Similac total comfort 2 powder, then scrape level with the straight edge of a knife. Add one scoop of Similac total comfort 2 powder to each 60ml of lukewarm water in feeding container. 6. Stir or shake until Similac total comfort 2 powder is completely dissolved. Test temperature and feed. After feeding, discard any unused formula within 1 hour. Note: prepared formula may also be fed from a cup, or mixed with cereal or other solid foods. Suggested feeding schedule: To prepare one feeding: Approximate age of baby - warm (previously boiled water, ml - number of level scoops - number of feedings per 24 hours. 6-12 months - 180 - 3 - 4. Infants over 6 months of age should receive supplemental foods in addition to Similac total comfort 2. Best before end of date on bottom of can.

I was not sure which formula to use once I went back to work and the pediatrician advised me this was the closest to breast milk. It has a caramel taste and even smells delicious
