Usage instructions:
Recommended portion size: 6-12 months - 1-2 years - 2-3 years: Stove: Cream Of Maize®: 25g - 35g - 40g. Amount of liquid to make paste: 75 ml (just over 1/4 cup) - 105 ml (just under 1/2 cup) - 120 ml (just under 1/2 cup). Balance of liquid to make up porridge: 125 ml (1/2 cup) - 175 ml (just under 3/4 cup) - 200 ml (just over 3/4 cup). See panel marked easy to prepare for further instructions. Microwave: Cream Of Maize®: 25g - 35g - 40g. Amount of liquid: 200 ml (just over 3/4 cup) - 280 ml (just over 1 cup) - 320 ml (just over 1 1/4 cup). See panel marked microwave preparation for further instructions. Easy to prepare: Note: these preparation instructions are based on the recommended for a baby aged 6-12 months. See portion size table for recommended for older babies. 1. Wash hands, pot and the cooking you will use. 2. Put 3 tablespoons (25g) of Purity Maize® into a bowl. Add a 1/4 cup breast milk or formula milk or the are currently feeding your baby an a smooth paste. 3. Bring half a cup (125 ml) of brea formula milk or the milk you are feeding your baby to a boil in a porridge/milk mixture. 4. Cook for 3 minutes, take off stov down. Always test temperature o before feeding. Microwave preparation: Slowly mix 25g (3 tablespoons) of Cream Of Maize® with 200 ml of breast milk or formula milk or the milk currently being fed to y clean bowl and stir well. Microwave on high for 3 minutes, stirrin 1 1/2 minutes. Stir well before serving. Always test temperature of food before feeding as porridge will b extremely hot once it comes out of the microwave. Do not add salt and/or sugar.
Storage instructions:
Unopened: store in a cool, dry place. Opened: seal bag after use to retain freshness. Do not keep unfinished portion. Never leave baby alone with food or drink.
Warnings:
This porridge is not intended for infants under 6 months of age and early introduction is not recommended. From 6 months of age, together with breast milk, infants should be fed a variety of foods. Important notice: Incorrect preparation, storage, handling and feeding can potentially lead to adverse effects for the health of your baby - always follow the instructions.
