Use of fresh whey (a by-product of cheese production) as a health tonic is recorded as far back as 400 BC when hippocrates recommended it to improve digestion, purify blood, protect against poisoning and for skin problems. During the 1700s and 1800s, whey cure establishments and spas flourished in Europe.
Renowned Swiss phytotherapist Alfred Vogel (1902 - 1996) was greatly impressed by this sharp, refreshing drink's numerous health benefits. He formulated a four times concentrated from of the highly sought after Appenzeller whey (the origins of Molkosan) and recommended it for many ailments, particularly as a daily digestive tonic.

Made from lactofermented whey, Molkosan® assists in promoting better digestive health. It can be taken either alone, before or alongside a probiotic supplement.
High in L (+) lactic acid and a source of butyrate which is essential for the healthy growth of intestinal cells, protects against the effects of gut inflammation, supports the intestinal barrier, regulates intestinal motility and is a beneficial supportive therapy during and after antibiotic treatment. It also helps relieve common digestive symptoms such as bloating, cramping, flatulence, constipation and diarrhoea.
Beneficial for those who are lactose intolerant as L (+) lactic acid helps break down the protein and lactose in milk.

Usage instructions:
Dosage and directions for use:
General digestive health maintenance:
Adults and children over 12 years: 10 ml once daily in water or juice.
Children 6-12 years: 5 ml once daily in water or juice.
Additional support:
Adults and children over 12 years: 20 ml once to twice daily in water or juice.
Children 6-12 years: 5 ml twice daily in water or juice. One month's course is advised. Thereafter return to the maintenance dosage.
Children under 6 years: consult your healthcare professional.
Storage instructions:
Store at or below room temperature. After opening, store in the fridge for up to 2 months.

Review after one week of use
This product is partially beneficial for those who are lactose intolerant. Not the best choice if you struggle with chronic constipation. Found that it led to dry, difficult to pass stools. On the upside it does relieve heartburn and bloating.

Molkosan came through for me
I am one of those people who have severe abdominal pains during my menstrual cycle, I didn't feel even one spasm. Since I took Molkosan I'm good didn't sleep to avoid the pain I am great for the first time in a long time, this medication helped me I don't wanna lie.

Works amazing! I suffer from severe IBS involving chronic constipation and bloating and it hasn't even been a full week that I've been using Molkosan and my symptoms have improved so much. The taste of the product isn't the best but it definitely helps and is worth it!
