"Please note that due to strict European safety standards the heat pad warms up to a very comfortable warm temperature which enhances the effect of the cosy fabric and never gets very hot. > The maximum core temperature of the product may only be reached after approximately 30-45 minutes. > The heated product will become warm and cosy, except for a few centimetres around the border. This border area is intentionally free of heating wires to prevent damage from folding and to ensure long-term safety. > The fastest way to warm up the heat pad is to initially set the highest temperature setting. This heat pad has a fast-heating function, which allows the pad to warm up faster in the first 10 minutes. > If the heat pad is being used over several hours, we recommend that you set the lowest temperature setting on the control. NOTE ON INITIAL USE > Please note that the control plug is difficult to insert into the device on first use. However, once inserted, the pins expand and remain open, ensuring easier insertion in the future. "NB NOTES ON MACHINE WASHING > The heat pad is machine washable up 30 degrees Celsius on an extra delicate cycle once the control has been removed. Please note that frequent washing has a negative effect on the product. The device could be washed in a washing machine once per season, if necessary, and a maximum of 5 times during its life. Immediately after washing, reshape to the original dimensions while wet and spread it out flat over a clothes horse to dry. Set the washing machine to a particularly gentle wash cycle (lowest spin rpm) at maximum 30 degrees Celsius (wool cycle). Use a delicate laundry detergent and measure it out according to the manufacturer's instructions. > Do not chemically clean, wring out, tumble dry, put through a mangle, or iron. Small marks can be removed with a damp cloth or sponge and, if necessary, with a little liquid detergent for delicate laundry. Do not use pegs or similar items. Failure to do so may cause damage. Do not reconnect the control until the plug-in connector and the heated device are completely dry. Failure to do so may cause malfunction. Never switch the heated device on to dry it as there is a risk of electric shock!! The control must never make contact with water or other liquids. Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean it. Do not use any chemical or abrasive cleaning agents. WARNING NOTES > Do not use this heat pad if you have reduced sensitivity to heat or are otherwise unable to respond to overheating - for example, people with diabetes, certain skin conditions, scar tissue in the application area, or those under the influence of pain medication or alcohol. > Not suitable for children under 3 years old, as they cannot react to overheating. > Avoid placing sharp objects or additional heat sources (like hot water bottles or other heat pads) on the heat pad while it is in use. > The control unit heats up during operation and must never be covered or placed on the heat pad. USE WITH A PACEMAKER > The electrical and magnetic fields emitted by this heated device may interfere with the function of a pacemaker. However, they are still well within the limits: electrical field strength: max. 5000 V/m, magnetic field strength: max. 80 A/m, magnetic flux density: max. 0.1 millitesla.
