Our bodies also produce about 15 grams of xylitol daily during normal metabolism.40% less calories than cane sugar. Xylitol contains only 2.4 calories per gram. Promotes healthy blood sugar levels. Unlike cane sugar, xylitol does not cause a rapid blood sugar increase in the system. It is slowly metabolised, helping to keep energy levels constant.Suitable for diabetics.Xylitol is suitable for use in a medically supervised diabetic diet, as it is metabolised in the body independently of insulin.Low glycaemic index:On the glycaemic index scale, (which measures the effect of foods on blood sugar levels on a scale of 1 to 100) foods which measure below 55 are considered low glycaemic, and therefore healthier for blood sugar levels, energy, and weight management. Xylitol registers at only 13 on the GI index.Clicks quality guarantee.Customer service centre:0860 25 42 57.www.clicks.co.za.

I LOVE this product. It is well priced and a perfect replacement for sugar. Since it is metabolized independent of insulin it is safe for diabetics and fit perfectly into any low GI diet. I replaced sugar with Clicks Xylitol about year ago and don't regret it for a second.
