Detailed Description:
Composition: Each 100g contains: white soft paraffin 14.5g; Light liquid paraffin 12.6g; anhydrous lanolin (wool fat) 1.0g. Preservatives: Methyl hydroxybenzoate 0.15% m/m; Propyl hydroxybenzoate 0.04% m/m. Presented in order of decreasing seriousness. System organ class - frequency - adverse events: Immune system disorders - not known - hypersensitivity. Respiratory, thoracic and mediastinal disorders - not known - lipoid pneumonia. Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders - not known - acne. Identification: a smooth, white or practically white cream with not more than a slight odour. Presentation: 50g tube: Polyethylene tubes with tamper evident seal and a high density polyethylene shroud cap pigmented white. 125g or 500g jar: Polypropylene jars with tamper evident closure system with a low density polyethylene shroud cap pigmented white. 500g airless piston pump: White or transparent polypropylene dispenser with polypropylene pump and high density polyethylene liquid piston and valve. Indications: cream E45 because of its emollient action is a useful adjunct in the treatment of ichthyosis, traumatic dermatitis (especially "housewives dermatitis"), dry stage of eczema, certain cases of psoriasis and other conditions where a 'moisturising' type of cream is likely to be beneficial. It is excellent as supportive treatment in burns of varying degrees, particularly where joints are involved and movement is impaired by dryness and cracking. Pharmacological classification: A 13.4.2. Emollients and protectives. Pharmacological action: The emollient properties of the ingredients act by softening keratotic skin. Interactions: The absorption of topical minoxidil can be increased by concurrent topical soft paraffin. This could potentiate the hypotensive effects of vasodilators.

Warnings:
Keep out of reach of children. Known symptoms of over dosage and particulars of its treatment: Symptoms: there have been no reports of over dosage with the use of this product. Management: in the unlikely case of over dosage, treatment should be symptomatic and supportive. Contra-indications: Hypersensitivity to white soft paraffin, light liquid paraffin, anhydrous lanolin or to any other ingredients of cream E45 (citric acid monohydrate, sodium hydroxide, sodium cetostearyl sulphate, carbomer). Warnings and special precautions: If rash develops, use of the product should be discontinued. Patients being dispensed or treated with large quantities (>100g) of any paraffin based product should be advised to regularly change clothing, bedding or dressings impregnated with the product and keep away from naked flames as there is a fire hazard. Effects on ability to drive and use machines: the product has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive and use machines. Pregnancy and lactation: pregnancy: no effects during pregnancy are anticipated, since systemic exposure to white soft paraffin, liquid paraffin and lanolin is negligible. As with all medicines, this product should be used with caution during pregnancy. Lactation: it is unknown whether white soft paraffin, light liquid paraffin and anhydrous lanolin metabolites are excreted in human milk. A risk to the newborns/infants cannot be excluded. Application of the product to the breast is not recommended during breast feeding. Fertility: No data on human fertility are available. Side-effects: Adverse events which have been associated with white soft paraffin, light liquid paraffin and anhydrous lanolin are given below, tabulated by system organ class and frequency. Frequencies are defined as: Very common (=1/10); Common (=1/100 and <1/10); Uncommon (=1/1000 and <1/100); Rare (=1/10,000 and <1/1000); Very rare (<1/10.000); not known (cannot be estimated from the available data). It didn't work at all. My eczema just became worse. I wouldn't recommend it. Utterly disappointed.

My son suffers from chronic eczema and has to be extra careful when using body lotions or creams. This product helps with reducing the dryness and cracking and I use it as well just to keep my skin moisturized.

If you have a dry skin problem then try it its going to give you wonders but if you have eczema I would not suggest it for you.

I have an extremely dry skin I always hated the idea of using non fragranced product as us as women enjoy smelling good after a shower or when we go out but I noticed my skin becoming very dry and taut I was recommended to switch to e45 and I thought I would give it a try and I can safely safe best product and versatile my skin isn't as dry as it use to be and I have introduced it to my whole stay in family to use instead of perfumed products

Not what i expected
I bought this product for my son when i discovered he has a mild eczema. I bought it with confidence because it such a well known brand but it didnt help my baby one bit instead it seemed like he was getting worse. Very dissapointed

Sensitive
I love this product for my baby as I discovered that she has sensitive skin and her doctor advised that she must not use any perfumed products. This cream is also great for her between nappy changes.
