Usage instructions:
Children 1 year and older: Give 50 - 250 ml reconstituted HydraChoice™ after each bowel action and/or enough to quench thirst. May also be given as smaller amounts more frequently if large amounts are not tolerated. Adults: Give 250 ml of reconstituted HydraChoice™ after each bowel action and/or enough to quench thirst. May also be given as smaller amounts more frequently if large amounts are not tolerated. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should consult a doctor before using this product. Dosage and directions for use: Cut the sachet along the dotted line and empty the contents of the sachet into a glass and fill the glass with 250 ml of plain, clean water. Stir for 5 seconds to dissolve. Do not use warm or boiling water. Boiled water must be cooled down before use. Any unused solution must be discarded. If applicable, breast-feeding should continue as normal. If the child vomits, wait 5 minutes and replace lost fluid in smaller volumes, but more frequently. If the child is hungry, give small amounts of food often. Oedematous (puffy) eyelids are a sign of over-hydration. If this occurs, stop giving HydraChoice™ solution. Continue to give breastmilk or plain, clean water, and food. Consult a physician immediately. The solution should be given to infants and young children using a clean spoon or cup. Feeding bottles should not be used. For babies of 1 year and older, a dropper or syringe (without the needle) can be used to put small amounts of solution into the mouth. Children under 2 years of age should be offered a teaspoonful every 12 minutes; older children may take frequent sips directly from the cup. Store in a cool, dry place below 25 degrees C. Keep sachets in the box until required for use. Store below 25 degrees C in a cool, dry place. Protect from light.

Contra-indications and warnings: Do not take if allergic to any of the ingredients contained in the product. The appearance of symptoms of dehydration such as restlessness, irritability, sunken eyes and fontanelles, excessive thirst, lethargy, unconsciousness, difficulty in eating or drinking or the inability to drink, requires assessment and management in a health-care facility (clinic or emergency room). The appearance of bloody stools and fever necessitates a medical consultation. The presence of diarrhoea and vomiting for more than 2 days necessitates a medical consultation. Probiotics should only be taken under medical supervision by those who have a suppressed immune system such as: People with HIV/aids. People receiving immunosuppressant for conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis or lupus. People undergoing chemotherapy. This product has not been evaluated in pregnant and lactating mothers. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should consult their physician before using this product. Not to be used in patients with short-bowel syndrome.
