Usage instructions:
Operation: Using the Safeway wet & dry rechargeable shaver. Charging: 1. The Shaver should be charged between 5 degrees C - 35 degrees C. Please do not charge it in the sun or beside a heater. 2. Do not charge the device for more than ten hours. 3. Charging takes approximately two hours. 4. When the device is fully charged, it has an operating time of two hours. 5. Make sure the device is switched off. Insert the Small Plug (15) at the end of the power cord into the Shaver Socket (17) and then put the Adaptor (14) into the power socket. The Battery Charge Percentage (9) and the Charge Symbol (10) goes on to indicate that the device is charging. 6. After charging, store the Adaptor in a safe place. 7. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or after-service centre. 8. To optimise the lifetime of the rechargeable batteries, do the following twice a year: a) Discharge the rechargeable batteries completely by letting the motor run until it stops. b) Recharge the batteries fully. Battery fully charged: When the battery is fully charged, the Battery Charge Percentage will be shown as 100 (Fig. 5). Battery low: When the battery is almost empty, the Battery Symbol starts to flash (Fig. 6). The display: When the device is charging, the Battery Charge Percentage and the Battery Symbol goes on to indicate that the device is charging (Fig. 4). The remaining battery capacity is indicated by the Battery Charge Percentage shown on the display. Cleaning reminder: For optimal shaving performance, we advise you to clean the Shaver after every use. The Cleaning Reminder symbol lights up continuously to remind you to clean the Shaver (Fig. 7). Travel lock: The travel lock prevents the Shaver from being switched on by accident. Activating the travel lock: Press the On/Off button (8) for three seconds to go to travel lock mode. When you activate the travel lock, the Travel Lock Symbol will light up on the screen (Fig. 8). Deactivating the travel lock: Press the On/Off Button for three seconds to end travel lock mode. The Travel Lock Symbol will be gone from the screen (Fig. 8). The Shaver is now ready for use again. Note: You can also deactivate the travel lock by connecting the device to the mains. Shaving: You can shave without charging by connecting the Shaver with the charger to the mains, voltage 100-240V-50/60Hz (Fig. 9). Press the On/Off Button to switch on the Shaver. Rapidly move the Shaver back and forth against the growing direction of beard (Fig. 10, 11, 12). Only shave when the face is dry. It will take some time for your skin to get used to the device. Hair on the neck can also be shaved in this way. Press the On/Off Button to switch off the Shaver and cover with the protection cap to avoid damage (Fig. 13). Do not use the Shaver if the Shaver heads are damaged, as it may hurt your skin. Changing attachments: All attachments (Shaving unit, cleansing Brush Attachment, Trimmer Attachment and Nose/Ear Hair Trimmer) can be attached and detached in the same way. 1. Pull the Shaving Unit straight off the device (Fig. 14). Note: Do not twist it when removing it. 2. Insert the lug of the attachment into the slot in the top of the Shaver, then press down the unit until you hear a click (Fig. 15). Cleaning the shaver unit: Turn off the Shaver before cleaning. Regular cleaning guarantees optimal shaving performance. Press the Release Button (7) to open the inner blades and wash the hair chamber and the inner blades (Fig. 16) with the Cleaning Brush (13) and hot water (40 - 60 degrees C) (Fig. 17). Avoid damaging the shaving heads. Do not dry the shaving heads with a towel or tissue. Do not clean the Shaver when it is charging. Clean the shaving heads with the Cleaning Brush after use. Do not wash the Shaver with water warmer than 60 degrees C. 4. Never use it on any area of skin that is diseased, damaged or inflamed. 5. Always clean the Shaver thoroughly after each use. 6. This device is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the device by a person responsible for their safety. 7. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device. Environmentally-friendly disposal: Do not dispose of electrical devices as unsorted municipal waste. Use separate collection facilities. Contact your local government for information regarding the collection systems available. If electrical products are disposed of in landfills or dumps, hazardous substances can leak into the groundwater and get into the food chain, damaging your health and well-being.
