Storage instructions:
Store at or below 25 degrees C in a dry place away from direct sunlight. Storing and disposing of Vital Omegaomega 3: Store at or below 25 degrees C in a dry place. Protect from light. Store in original packaging until required for use. Do not use after the expiry date stated on the label. Return all unused medicine to your pharmacist. Do not dispose of unused medicine in drains or sewerage systems (e.g. toilets). Store all medicines out of reach of children.

This unregistered medicine has not been evaluated by the SAHPRA for its quality, safety or intended use. Keep out of reach of children. Before you take/use vital omega 3: Do not take/use Vital Omega 3: If you are allergic to any of the Ingredients it contains (see "What Vital Omega 3 Contains"). If you are allergic to soya (see "Important Information about some of the ingredients of Vital Omega 3"). Take special care with Vital Omega 3: If you suffer from a bleeding disorder or are scheduled for any surgical procedures since it may increased the risk of increased bleeding time. Discontinue use at least 2 weeks prior to any surgical procedures. If you are asthmatic with a sensitivity to Aspirin. Discuss the use of Vital omega 3 with your doctor or pharmacist prior to use if you suffer from any of the above-mentioned conditions. Vitamins and nutrients can also be obtained from other sources, e.g. daily diet and other supplements. Please take this into consideration when taking Vital omega 3. Taking Vital Omega 3 with food or drink: Vital Omega 3 should be taken after a meal with water. Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Vital Omega 3 is safe to use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding your baby. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding your baby, please consult your doctor, pharmacist or other healthcare professional for advice before taking Vital Omega 3. Driving and using machinery: The effect of Vital Omega 3 on the ability to drive and use machinery has not been studied. It is unlikely that it will impair your ability to drive or use machines. However, please take care when driving or operating machinery until you know how it affects you. Important information about some of the ingredients of Vital Omega 3: Vital Omega 3 contains soya. You should not take it if you are allergic to soya. The capsule shell contains halaal gelatine of bovine origin. It contains glycerol and sorbitol. If you have been told that you have an intolerance to glycerol and/or sorbitol, you should not take Vital Omega 3. Taking other medicines with Vital Omega 3: Always tell your healthcare professional if you are taking any other medicines. (This includes complementary or traditional medicines). Discuss the use of the following medicines in combination with Vital Omega 3 with your doctor or pharmacist: Blood thinning medicines, such as warfarin. Increased monitoring of your INR (International Normalised Ratio) levels may be required when starting or stopping treatment with Vital Omega 3. How to Take Vital Omega 3: Always take Vital Omega 3 exactly as indicated or as your doctor or pharmacist has instructed you. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure. The dose for adults and children 14 years and older is 1-2 capsules daily. Take with water after a meal. Vital Omega 3 may be take continuously. If you take more Vital Omega 3 than you should: In the event of overdosage, consult your doctor or pharmacist. If neither is available, contact the nearest hospital or poison control centre. If you take more Vital Omega 3 than you should, it can increase your risk of experiencing side effects (see "Possible Side Effects"). It may also increase the risk of increased bleeding time. Discontinue use of Vital Omega 3 immediately. If you forget to take a dose of Vital Omega 3: If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If you do not remember the forgotten dose before the next dose is due, skip the forgotten dose and continue with your regular dosage schedule of 1-2 capsules per day (every 24 hours). Do not take a double dose to make up for the forgotten individual dose. Possible Side Effects: Vital Omega 3 can have side effects. Not all side effects reported for Vital Omega 3 are included in this leaflet. Should your general health worsen or if you experience any untoward effects while taking this medicine, please consult your doctor, pharmacist or other healthcare professional for advice. If any of the following happens, stop taking Vital Omega 3 and tell your doctor immediately or go to casualty department you nearest hospital: Constriction of your airways, swelling of your tongue, throat and trouble breathing. These are serious side effects. If you have them, you may have had an allergic reaction to Vital Omega 3. You may need urgent medical attention. Inform your doctor of the following side effects if they continue or become bothersome: Headache, dizziness. Gastrointestinal discomfort, bloating, nausea, heartburn, burping, flatulence, loose stools, fishy breath, odour or after taste. Skin rash, itching and irritation.
