3 Tips to help you match your make-up to your mask this Halloween

We can all agree that 2020 has been quite a year. And what better way to cheer yourself up and unwind than by getting well and truly into the Halloween spirit?

Sure, most parties will probably be held on Zoom to meet social-distancing protocols - meaning you will only need to worry about half a costume - but, that doesn't mean that you are exempt from putting any effort - after all, it's the perfect excuse to pick a fun or frightening mask and combine it with fabulous makeup. Here are beauty tips to help bring your spooky outfit to life and earn you that ‘best dressed’ award.

Pretty as a...pumpkin?

While we might be enjoying the sunny spring weather, it's autumn shades, such as rich browns, reds and copper hues, that are synonymous with Halloween. Orange is a popular choice, as it represents the changing leaves and iconic carved pumpkins associated with this holiday. Not sure if you can pull it off? There are a number of beautiful, warm and rust-toned eyeshadow palettes that do most of the work for you. Simply pick a few of your favourite warm-hued tones, blend, and you're good to go - with minimal effort. If you're not quite ready for statement eyes, a few swipes of an orange-toned nail polish will help add a touch of festivity to your look and elevate your outfit.

Going for glam

If your 2020 Halloween mask is of the luxe, lacy, feminine variety, then pairing it with a glamourous makeup look is the only way to go.
