Mode of action:
Phargel® is an osmotically active, hypertonic viscous solution which forms a film over the lesion and instantly attracts hypotonic fluid present below the injured surface. This mechanical process cleans the lesion of all the contaminants present on the surface, cleans the lesion of cell growth-inhibiting toxic substances and prepares a favourable ground for healing.

Composition:
Each ml contains glycerol, honey, water, vaccinium macrocarpon, vaccinium myrtillus and xanthan gum.

Pharmacological action:
Phargel® is an osmotically active, hypertonic viscous solution. When applied on the surface of an oral lesion, Phargel® forms a film over the lesion and mechanically attracts hypotonic fluid present below the injured surface. This strong outward flow of liquid cleans the lesion of all the contaminants present on the surface, cleans the lesion of cell growth-inhibiting toxic substances and prepares a favorable ground for healing.

Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.

How to use
Usage instructions:
Directions: for topical use only. Apply 3 - 4 drops of Phargel® directly over the lesion 3 - 4 times per day until complete healing. Avoid eating or drinking for 10 - 15 minutes after each application. Please refer to package insert for further instructions.
Dosage and directions for use:
Adults and children: remove the tip of the tube, insert the tip of the canula into the mouth near the injury, and apply 3 to 4 drops of Phargel® directly onto the lesion 3 to 4 times a day until complete healing. Close the tube after each use. Should the condition not improve within one week please consult your practitioner.

Storage indications:
Store in a cool, dry place, at or below 25 degrees C, away from direct sunlight.
Store in unit carton until required for use.
Warnings:
Wash hands before use. This product is for topical use only. Avoid touching the lesion with the tip of the tube whilst applying.
Pregnancy and lactation:
Phargel® can be used during pregnancy and lactation.
Side effects and special precautions:
Phargel® has no known side effects and is not dangerous if swallowed. Do not use Phargel® if you are sensitive or allergic to any of the ingredients used to prepare this product or if you are under any other treatment for oral lesions.
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not use the product if the tube is damaged, after the expiry date or more than 30 days after first use.
