Composition: Each Reuterina™ acute chew tablet contains a minimum of 100 million (1 x 108) live, freeze-dried colony forming units (CFU) lactobacillus reuteri Protectis® (strain DSM 17938) until expiry. Excipients: calcium stearate, citric acid, isomalt, lemon-lime flavouring, palm oil, xylitol (sweetener). Pharmacological classification: D.30.4 pre- & probiotics. Pharmacological action: Probiotics inhibit the colonisation of pathogens in the digestive tract to normalise the microflora through the following actions: antibiosis competing for nutrients and binding sites, alteration of microbial metabolism and stimulation of immunity. Indications: Probiotics are used to assist in the treatment and prevention of conditions linked to an imbalance in the gastrointestinal microflora, such as diarrhoea, constipation, colic, regurgitation, urogenital infections and gum disease. Reuterina™ acute helps restore and maintain a healthy balance of intestinal flora after a course of antibiotics. Interactions: There are no known medicine interactions with Reuterina™ acute tablets. Identification: Reuterina™ acute tablets are cream coloured with faint spots. They are lemon-lime flavoured and chewable. Presentation: 1 foil blister strip, containing 10 tablets, in an outer carton.

Dosage and directions for use: Chew one (1) tablet daily during antibiotic therapy and for at least 3 days afterwards, unless otherwise prescribed by your healthcare professional. Dosage and directions for use: Adults and children older than 2 years of age: Chew one (1) tablet daily while on antibiotics and for at least three days after or as directed by your healthcare professional.
