Composition: Each 0.2 ml (5 drops) contain a minimum of 100 million (1 x 108) live, freeze-dried colony forming units (CFU) lactobacillus reuteri Protectis® (strain DSM 17938) until expiry. Manufactured by: BioGaia® probiotics grounded in evolution driven by science. Scheduling status: S0. Proprietary name (and dosage form). Reuterina™ drops (drops). Excipients: Medium chain triglyceride oil, silicon dioxide, sunflower oil. Pharmacological action: Probiotics inhibit the colonisation of pathogens in the digestive tract to normalise the microflora through the following actions: antibiosis competing for nutrients and binding sites, alteration of microbial metabolism and stimulation of immunity. Indications: Probiotics are used to assist in the treatment and prevention of conditions linked to an imbalance in the gastrointestinal microflora, such as diarrhoea, constipation, colic, regurgitation, urogenital infections and gum disease. Reuterina™ drops help restore and maintain a healthy balance of intestinal flora in infants and babies, thereby improving the function thereof. Identification: Reuterina™ drops is a colourless to yellow opaque suspension. Presentation: 5 ml amber glass bottle in an outer carton. The packaging includes a white desiccant device for prolonged shelf-life. This should not be consumed.

Shake well before use. Dosage and directions for use: 5 drops daily or as recommended by your healthcare professional. When ingested on a regular basis, probiotics should improve or normalise the microbial balance in the human intestines and thereby improve the functioning of the gut. Dosage and directions for use: For infants and children younger than 2 years of age: give five (5) drops daily, or as directed by a healthcare professional. Adults and children older than 2 years of age who cannot chew or wish to take the drops rather than Reuterina™ chew tablets: take five (5) drops daily, or as directed by a healthcare professional. To dispense, turn the bottle upside down, or at a 45 degrees angle, and the drops will form slowly. The drops may be given directly into the mouth or on a spoon. The drops should not be added to hot food or drink as heat may damage the live cultures.
No refrigeration needed. Store in a cool, dry place, at or below 25 degrees C. Opened bottle should be used within 3 months.

Known symptoms of overdosage and particulars of its treatment: The probiotic in Reuterina™ drops is non-systemic. There are no known symptoms of overdosage and no treatment is required.
