Usage instructions:
Before using this appliance for the first time, wash the wok in accordance with the instructions given in the Care and Cleaning section. 1. Condition the non-stick surface by wiping it lightly with a paper towel smeared with vegetable oil. We recommend this 'smearing with oil' every couple of months after a thorough cleaning. 2. Insert the power supply connector into the base of the wok and connect to the power supply. 3. Adjust the heat control to the desired temperature setting (the higher the number, the hotter the temperature) and allow to preheat before placing food into the wok. 4. When the wok reaches this temperature, the light will go out and cooking can commence. The light will switch on and off, ensuring that the wok maintains the correct temperature.

Always turn the switch to the OFF position and unplug the appliance when not in use or when cleaning it. When using the wok for frying, never touch the appliance, pour the oil out or move the wok while the oil is hot. Keep children away during and after use - fat/oil remains hot for a very long time. Always attach the power supply connector to the appliance first, then plug into the power supply. To disconnect, remove the plug from the wall outlet first, then remove the power supply connector from the appliance. Take care when removing the power supply connector. The probes may be hot. The connector must be removed before the appliance is cleaned and the appliance inlet must be dried before the appliance is used again. Take care to prevent liquid and objects from entering the appliance through openings. Take care not to let this wok come into close contact with skin. Only touch the handle and hand-safe areas. Be careful as the appliance will remain hot for a period of time after use. Always allow adequate air space above and on all sides for air circulation. Do not allow the wok to touch curtains, wall coverings, clothing, dishtowels or other flammable materials during use. Do not use under cupboards or curtains. Always allow the wok to cool before cleaning and storing. Carry out regular checks of the supply cord to ensure no damage is evident. Take care not to scratch the special coating of the wok. Use a wooden or heat-resistant plastic spatula. Never use this appliance for any purpose other than its intended use. This appliance is for household use only, and may not be used outdoors, or for commercial or industrial purposes such as: The staff kitchen in a shopping mall or office. On a farm. For hotel, motel and 'bed and breakfast' customers. In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cut-out, this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility. Only the supplied power supply connector must be used with this appliance. The thermostat is detachable. Please note that the thermostat must only be used on the unit it is supplied with. Always place the appliance on a solid, flat, dry surface. Be careful as the appliance will remain hot for a period of time after use. After unpacking the unit and before any use make sure the mechanical parts of the unit and all its attachments are in perfect condition. Do not leave packing elements (plastic bags, cardboard, polystyrene etc). Within reach of children, as they could be dangerous. Before use, check that your voltage corresponds to the voltage marked on the rating plate of the appliance. This appliance is designed to work on alternative current only. Do not operate any product with a damaged cord or plug, or after the product has malfunctioned, or has been dropped or appears damaged in any way. Return the complete product to Clicks for inspection, repair or replacement. To reduce the risk of shock, do not immerse or expose the product or flexible cord to rain, moisture or any other liquid other than those necessary for correct operation of the product. Do not allow the cord to hang over the edge of a table, counter tops or bench or touch hot surfaces, including the stove. Never install the unit where it could be subjected to heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves or other products that produce heat: Direct sunlight. Excessive dust. Mechanical vibration or shock. Lack of ventilation. Uneven surfaces. Remove by grasping the plug - do not pull on the cord. Never leave the appliance unattended while in use. Do not use the appliance with an extension cord, as it may lead to overloading. Do not use the appliance for any other than its intended use. Electrical requirements: Check that the voltage on the rating plate of your appliance corresponds with your house electricity supply which must be AC. Important: the plug removed from the mains lead, if severed, must be destroyed as a plug with bared flexible cord is hazardous if engaged in a live socket outlet. If the power cord is damaged, it must be repaired by a qualified technician or replaced by the manufacturer or service station. Environmentally friendly disposal: Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste, use separate collection facilities. Contact your local government for information regarding the collection systems available. If electrical appliances are disposed of in landfills or dumps, hazardous substances can leak into the groundwater and get into the food chain, damaging your health and wellbeing.
